What is postforming technology?

Postforming is a process involving the thermal shaping of the edges of furniture panels. During production, the material is heated to a temperature that allows it to be flexibly formed. Then, using special shaping rollers, the decorative layer is bent and fitted to the pre-prepared shape of the panel’s edge.

This allows for a smooth, uniform transition between the panel’s surface and its edge. The decorative layer wraps around the edge continuously, resulting in an aesthetic finish without visible seams.

A key feature of this technology is the ability to create edges with various rounding radii. Depending on the design, edges can be profiled with radii ranging from R2 to R65 mm.
