A new face in our sales department. We present Mrs Beata Prałat

Beata Prałat joined us 3 months ago. She is responsible for sales and the broadly understood service of our clients. She gets on with her duties at a rapid pace and will soon become the face of MELACO. We present our new employee and, of course, we encourage you to contact Mrs. Beata.

Mrs. Beata, you have been with us for a short time. Before MELACO did you work in the same industry?

Before MELACO, I also professionally dealt with customer service and, just like here, I was responsible for everything related to sales: contact with customers, acquiring new customers, taking care of the existing ones, and supervising orders. Sales is my direction and I have extensive experience in it, but this is the first time I’m dealing with the furniture industry. The challenges are therefore similar to those in the previous experience, but I also gain new knowledge related to how the industry works and, of course, how MELACO works.

Did anything surprise you in these first months of work?

Possibilities, above all. At the moment, I am getting to know the solutions popular in the industry and the ones that MELACO offers, and I must admit that I was surprised a lot, mainly due to the wide offer. I did not realize that some solutions exist, I get to know new patterns and related technologies, but also the range of their use. We have, for example, DESIGN SOLUTIONS™ decorative panels, which replace ceramic tiles – a wood-based product, but in a new version.

It is interesting how many possibilities we can offer our clients. We have product cards and furniture elements, but in fact, each of them can be developed, changed, and adapted to specific needs. There is always something we can surprise the client with.

You are at the stage of introducing yourself to competition, trends, and customer expectations. Did you notice anything while learning about these elements?

Certainly, competition surprised me, I did not realize that so many Polish companies produce furniture and so many of them can use the technologies offered by MELACO. When it comes to products, I am still learning about them, just like customers, so at this stage, I am still gathering experience and developing my knowledge.

Is this development of knowledge accompanied by a change in approach to private furniture purchasing?

Of course (laughs). When I got hired here, I was in the process of making my kitchen. While learning about materials, technologies, and available solutions, I wondered if I had made the right decisions when it comes to equipment. Now I know that I had and that I have good quality furniture in the kitchen (laughs).

Getting to know all of MELACO’s production capabilities, machines and technologies is a long process. Do you have any strategy that helps you with learning?

At each stage, we have a different need for knowledge, so I also learn new things gradually. There will be another stage in a moment and then I will get to know the next process. For example, drilling that I have not dealt with yet. When the need arises, I will go to production, I will be trained in drilling and machining as well as the possibilities offered by the machine. At the moment, I have an overview of the company, and production, although I am constantly exploring specific processes.

And when it comes to customers and getting to know their needs – what stage are you at?

At this point, I focus on clients who already have active orders in progress, I learn how to cooperate with them and how to carry out orders so that the customer is satisfied. There will still be time to acquire new customers. For now, I am working on what the company has accumulated over the years.
