Robotization and automation as a necessity
We all notice the need for automatization of the production processes more and more. It is dictated by many factors, including customer expectations regarding flexible deliveries, but also the desire to increase work efficiency and reduce energy consumption, in accordance with the pro-ecological strategy implemented at MELACO.

To achieve these goals, we are working on an investment concept under the EU’s Robogrants program, addressed to furniture manufacturers. The subsidy will allow us to implement digital solutions and introduce automation of production processes.
Development plans for MELACO
We plan to use the Robogrants program for the installation of a robotic center for cutting boards and the modernization of the production management system connected to our company server. However, we do not want to stop there. The next step of the investments planned by us is the modernization of our plate warehouse by integrating it with the machining center. In this way, we will obtain a fully automatic collection of panels from the warehouse and their cutting in an integrated processing center.
Production automation – benefits for MELACO
There are many advantages that automation offers. First of all, it will allow us to increase production efficiency and take on more projects. It will also shorten the production time. An equally important factor is the reduction of energy consumption, which will allow us, on the one hand, to save money and, on the other hand, to continue our strategy of reducing the impact of our production on the natural environment.

Our employees will also benefit from automation. The robotization of the processes will reduce the hard, physical work associated with the manipulation of the boards – these activities will be performed by machines. The employees will supervise the processes and operate the machines.

Thanks to investments, we will be able to offer our partners greater flexibility when it comes to the execution of orders. Shortening the time of the technological process and increasing its efficiency will have a positive effect on the price of the final product, thanks to which our offer will become more competitive. Greater flexibility also means reducing the minimum quantities that we provide for customers, as well as greater frequency of deliveries.
